An Haiku

We call you “Dad” and

that’s because you’ve changed our lives.

You’re always there. Thanks.

My heart is racing. Anger fuels my adrenaline.

Hatred fuels my actions.

It hurts when my heart is pounding.

Pity fuels my feelings.

Morals fuel my thinking.

What a pathetic piece of work my life has turned into.

I’m taking a rest, dude.

I’m stepping down: out of my position.

I’m using my female intuition.

I swear I’m done looking like a fool.

Everyone is smiling like it’s all cool.

This is my last restless night.

I’m throwing in the towel, giving up the fight.
