Waukegan Varsity Soccer’s Road to a State Championship!

The Waukegan Boys Varsity Soccer team finished their season as conference champions with a 4-1 record. Although †heir season didn’t started off so well as it may seem. The team was struggling in beginning with a losing record of 5-0. This didn’t last for long, the strong players defeated Maine East with a strong 2-1. Since their victory, they have proven to be one of the strongest teams in the area . They constantly prove themselves to be a great hard working team.”The players have shown big improvement throughout the season. Each practice they just get better. I am very proud of them. We have a very strong team that will fight throughout the whole game for win,” said Varsity Coach Martinez. The team has an impenetrable unit control in the offense and defense on the field with some of their strongest players like Rudy Ochoa, Jose Lopez, Armando Rea, Dwight Terrelonge, and Tony Larrondo. They established teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the games in order to guide them towards victory. Due to their strength, knowledge, and skills, the successful team is going to Illinois State Regions Championship. Their first game would be against Arlington Heights Hersey High School at Stevenson High School on October 16, 2012 at 6:30.
