BELIEVE IT OR NOT: A Source of Winter Time Warmth

Due to budget cuts in the school’s funding, the janitors have been instructed to burn the trash from the cafeteria’s garbage bins in the school’s furnace. The leftover food and styrofoam trays are 75% cheaper than the coal which District 60 has been buying to heat the campuses. The District denies any reports that hazardous chemicals are being released through this process of styrofoam-incineration.  A spokesperson adds that, “The school now has a very distinct aroma that the students will always remember as Waukegan High School!”
