Khalil Glaze…that funny guy who says everything that is on his mind and can run circle around anyone. Sadly he’s leaving Waukegan High School with the graduating the class of 2013. He is leaving being known as a great track star that many incoming students have to live up to. Talking to Khalil Glaze, I couldn’t stop laughing at his jokes and sarcasm, He was gracious to tell me all about how he got into to track ” I’ve always been Fast so I went to track one day, and last year Team Captain Grant McClinton along with the couch said I have real potential. Ever since then I’ve been running since.“
This year he is Team Captain with an undefeated 4×2 relay with his 400 dash running time dropping every race! With all his success from Track he was given a half tution scholarship for University of Wisconsin: Parkside. Ending our funny conversation I asked what do you want to do after UW Parkside? He said “I want to be an Athletic Trainer and a Track coach on the side.” Sounds like he has everything panned out great! Congrats Khalil on all your success! WHS will never forget you!
